At Breathe SoCal, we go into our local communities to educate and advocate for change. We strive to make impact through the following approach:

Despite being the third leading cause of death in Los Angeles County, COPD is universally undiagnosed. Our current research focuses on finding the best practices in dealing with the disease, so people can better manage their symptoms and live more active lives.

We strive to be a local educator: raising awareness in elementary and middle schools across the country to help students grow into healthy and environmentally conscience adults.

We are committed to standing up for our right to clean air at local and state level. We don’t just stop at clean air, we also look at healthcare policies that polluted air exacerbates, including the prevention and treatment of COPD and asthma, as well as the cessation of smoking and vaping.

We are committed to ensuring we remain at the forefront of medical advancements in lung health and clean air. We are continuously working towards making our educational programs more accessible to those who need it most while simultaneously raising visibility on the importance of the environment and healthcare programs we support.
