Free Community Air Purifier Distribution
Breathe Southern California will distribute 300 free air purifiers to eligible households affected by poor air quality. The distribution is open to residents of Boyle Heights, Montebello, East Los Angeles, Monterey Park, Lincoln Heights, Montecito Heights and Highland Park. Limit one air purifier per household while supplies last.
Eligible residents can receive one free air purifier per household while supplies last. Proof of residence is required.
Volunteers Needed: California Elementary School Garden Build
Join Breathe Southern California, California Elementary School, and our community partners for a morning of hands-on volunteering! Together, we’ll build garden planters, mix soil, and plant vegetables to create a welcoming garden for California Elementary students.

COMMUNITY HABITAT RESTORATION WITH FRIENDS OF BALLONA WETLANDS
Roll up your sleeves to help the Friends restore the last coastal wetland in Los Angeles. Get hands-on experience while learning about urban ecology. The time and effort you put in to clear out invasive vegetation gives our slow-growing native plants room to thrive. Healthy plant life is vital for a healthy ecosystem!
Supporting Lung Health in Our Community
Community members living in Boyle Heights and East Los Angeles are invited to a free community lung health event at Mi Centro. Services will include a lung health workshop, lung-function screenings, air purifier distribution and healthcare-navigation support. All services are free of charge.
Breathe Easier Workshop at LA Care Wilmington
Join Breathe Southern California and LA Care for a free Breathe Easier educational workshop in Wilmington. Community members will learn practical information about lung health, breathing conditions and ways to protect their respiratory health. This workshop is open to the general public.

Breathe Easier Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) English
Participants will learn how to manage COPD through medications, healthy lifestyle choices, breathing techniques, and recognizing warning signs that require medical attention. This class will be taught in English.

Join us on Wednesday, August 5, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at Montebello City Park, while supplies last.
Residents of Boyle Heights, Montebello, East Los Angeles, Monterey Park, Lincoln Heights, Montecito Heights, and Highland Park are eligible. Please bring proof of residence, such as an ID card or a gas, water, or electricity bill.
Limit one air purifier per household. No registration is required.
